It is my privilege to welcome you to Scarborough State School, a primary school located to the north of the Redcliffe Peninsula. Established in 1925 our school caters for children from Prep to Year 6 and has a current enrolment in excess of 650 learners.

Scarborough State School is a learning community known for high standards and inclusive culture. Our motto 'Cresco' means – to grow – and reflects our belief that we are on a learning journey with our students.

Our school adopts a Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) approach where our four main values – we are safe, we are respectful, we are responsible and we are active learners – are an integral part of how we do things at Scarborough and help ensure for a welcoming learning environment and productive learning in our classrooms. These values and the teaching of them, ensure our students have clear and explicit expectations around expected behaviours.

We have a highly committed staff. A staff who want to be at Scarborough, who talk proudly about our school and who are committed to improvement. We encourage regular contact between home and school and recognise the important link between classrooms and the home.

Scarborough State School has a very supportive Parent and Citizens Association, who proudly work closely with the school to support our students and aims to forge links between our parents and the school.

We look forward to welcoming your child/ren to the Scarborough State School community.
